I have been selected to be part of the 2025 cohort of the Association for the Sciences of Limnology and Oceanography's Limnology and Oceanography Research Exchange (LOREX) program! The LOREX program is supported by the National Science Foundation and provides training in international research for graduate students. Applicants identify a researcher from participating international institutions and propose a research project to conduct in the host country.
This summer, I will be traveling to Sweden to visit the Abisko Scientific Research Station in the Swedish Arctic in collaboration with Umeå University’s Climate Impacts Research Centre. I will be investigating the habitat use and population demographics of invasive minnows (Phoxinus phoxinus) and their effects on native salmonid populations in northern Sweden. Stay tuned for project updates!
